Public transport breaks down. The stops are not connected.
All my tram, train, metro and bus stops show the disconnected icon. It started sometime after the last update.

I think as a result my city is missing a lot of customers and the buildings are being abandoned.

Does anyone have an idea why this might be? Any tip to save the city?

I've already tried to check all mods and reset all stops, but nothing helps.

Same problem, when creating/editing lines, the pathfinder is broken and just display an empty dot with an option to add it but does nothing.

I've just read that it's supposed to be due to the new "city kai" from the last update. I try it.
Has anyone else heard of this? Are there other "buildings" from the last update that don't work?

Same issue here for bus and metro but somehow not for monorail.

Check if youve placed any of the new City Quays, those are the issue, as soon as you remove them all it fixes this issue

I'm also having the same issue since the update. Train, subway, and bus lines keep getting disconnected. It sometimes finds the path again and fixes itself, only to break again.

Same transport disconnect issues as others have raised, plus the inability to make new metro routes. I removed the quays as suggested but this didn't fix my issues. I then removed a recently placed 'metropolitan airport' and bingo! Issue solved.

This issue is caused by your game reaching the maximum number of available pathunits. Path units are need for vehicles / citizen to get fro point A to point B. If a path breaks because a path unit cannot allocated to it, the result is someone isn't going to get to where they were planning on going. If a transport line breaks, you will see a disconnected stop icon, and possibly find a bus stop at the edge of the map, on a tram track, or some other weird place.

The problem takes a while to manifest as well - you're playing without issue then all of a sudden your transport lines start breaking. Quite maddening.

Fortunately you fix it with:

and you can track down broken transport lines with:

Yes, I've experienced the issue. After removing the "city quay" (replacing with the standard one) the problem seems to have vanished.
I'm positive the city quay is at least one of the problem makers.

I don't think it is wise to just recommend the "more path units" mod for this problem. As the description states, once the mod is enabled in a city, it can never be loaded without. Imo it would be better to first locate the root of the problem before throwing things at it.

Tried deleting the quay in question but no... sadface.

The first thing I did was to unsubscribe to MOM. I used a day cleaning up the metro after that. Then I made new invisible metro stations at 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60 meters depth, so they can take over for MOM. After another day I basically gave up. There's obviously a pathing problem, but it started AFTER the last patch. No need for More PathUnits (the name makes me shiver and think about all the extra work the computer has to do). I see it on busses, metros and trains, but it isn't really a problem, just an annoyance, since the lines work just fine, the pathing drops one place, comes back, drops another place etc.

The problem with this game is that it's never finished. New DLC's all the time, eating more and more resources from your computer. And when you get a problem CO blames it on the mods, mods that wouldn't be needed if they added those things to the game, things the players really want, in stead of more and more and more stuff that you need a super computer to run.

What I did was to remove all DLC's after Parklife, and suddenly the game speed increased ten fold. This game annoyes me. It's so greta, but it's made in a way that begs for problems.

More PathUnits worked! Thank you!

I removed all the new quays and that seems to have solved my problem.

the broken nodes and more path units suggestion didn't work for my city, so I'll trying removing the new quay wall and HOPE it is the issue. None of my mods are listed as bad or conflicting.

I removed the city quay which I had placed, and it solved my bus and tram line connections

Does your tram and bus lines (those affected) pass over a quay? That would explain my metros, but not my bus lines.
