trees and noise pollution
Does trees actually reduce noise pollution?

I don't think so. But you can easily set up a test and see.

Put down a train station somewhere and put down trees and see if it reduces the noise around the station. My test results tell me no (or certainly not enough to make any difference).

The standard game Roads with trees on the road DO reduce traffic noise. Placeable trees might reduce road noise now that it is based on actual traffic density now and not just road size. My tests were before this change.

Yes they do. As above, test it to see. Open your tree tab, then open the noise overlay. As you plant the trees you will visibly see the noise pollution intensity reduce.
I tend to use the largest size trees as I figure they have more effect than smaller trees.

I had heard from a Youtuber, yes it does. But it didn't always used to. Not sure if there was a DLC that added to it or not.
