Game crashing on map load/new game

Hey guys. My game keeps crushing when I try to load or make a new map. It might be RAM issue (I have 16gb). I tried the compatibility mod and there everything is fine.

Try upping your pagefile max setting to 48000mb then verify your game files,

To verify the files Click Library then right click on Cities Skylines in the left hand pane, select Properties then choose Local Files and click the Verify integrity of game files.

Could you post a list of your mods.
Always read a mods description before subbing and give a thumbs up and a follow for the author.. To get a list of your mods load up your save and go into Mod listings options and click copy to clipboard at the bottom.

There isnt one, as it crashes without one. Game just closes.

That usually happens when you run out of memory. Are you subscribed to the 'Loading Screen Mod'? If so, make sure you're subscribed to the latest version, and have the other versions unsubscribed: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2858591409&searchtext=

While loading; do the numbers representng memory usage, turn red? If so, you need to cut down on Workshop content.

Ye there were many reds. Do i need to cut down or is buying more RAM a solution?

If you can afford it, and if your motherboard accepts it, then an upgrade of RAM does wonders with this game. Cutting down on Workshop content is a faster and cheaper solution.

I only have 16gb and 6400 assetts ;) so i think that must be a problem.

Yes, definitely. Here's an indication of the amount of RAM used by the game when DLC's and assets are added:

4GB RAM: Base game
8GB RAM: Base game + 100 assets, 1-2 DLC's
16GB RAM: Base game + 500 assets, 5-10 DLC's
32GB RAM: Base game + 2000 assets, 15 DLC's
64GB RAM: Base game + 4000 assets, All DLC's
