Landmark / Unique buildings get very low use
I can never seem to get more than 50 people using these buildings per week. Even at 20-30k population, in the high density/downtown zones with multiple types of public transport it seems like everything aside from the football/soccer stadium just don't get much use or traffic. I'm wondering if this is normal, or if anybody else has suggestions on how to maximize use / placement for these unique buildings.

They provide jobs, which aren't displayed in the game, although one can see citizens going to the buildings to work.

Even in my city of over 380k with over 2800 weekly tourist visits, my landmark buildings mostly never get more than 50 weekly visits each. Each one you place raises your city attractiveness score a little bit and brings more tourists to the city in general.

There certainly is a trick or challenge to reaching a buildings visitor limit. I With 2850 tourists a week, I have reached about 1/3 (120, 96, 100/300) capacity on some and on others about 30-50 visitors. The area that they do better in has other destinations to visit, sort of like a park area. The other has commercial near. I think these buildings do better if it's not the only destination near for tourists to visit.

1+ for this

Getting visitors to attractions is depending on attractiveness of the area + transportation options to get there
A factor 30-35% of possible visitors is a very good one at Unique Buildings as they can hold much more visitors than parks do .
Otherwise , parks can reach a factor of 80% filled if they are placed well as they can be used for shortcuts between other attractions or transit options
Both kinds raise the city attractiveness ( high rated Uniques do more than any park can do to this ) and the higher it is the more wealthy tourists come to visit your town and stay in town for quite a while --> leading to a higher average of tourists in your city
Shopping areas + leisure and tourist specialisation are adding possible destinations too and to have them near or between attractions can even force poor visitors to use more than one in an area = switching from shop to a park , to a Unique and back to a shop again .
Offering pedestrian pathes / bike pathes or a tram in the backyard of a block helps to get them around as they love options ( the more transport options = the more options for the pathfinding manager )
The mod below can show and change several stats of plopped buildings , but be very careful if you fiddle around with the settings . lt can mess up your city if you make a bad decision
