Use this mod to alter graphics settings beyong those of the game itself: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1794015399&searchtext=render+it
Use map-themes to give your map the look you want. You can use this mod for enabling these map themes: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1899640536&searchtext=theme+mixer
Map themes determine how different elements from the map look like. Things like: grass, cliffs, water, sand, pavement, etc.
Here are a couple of nice map-themes: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=627618982&searchtext=

The Theme mixer also allows you to select what's called a LUT. You could consider this a lense in front of the camera, also changing the way the game looks. Here are a couple of nice LUT's: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=627817456&searchtext=

if you want to enjoy your nicer looks from farther away : ULOD can change the distance where LODs change. (the game switches to less intrnsive textures as you zoom out and need to display more items)
if render it doesn't work for you (like it didn't for me) you can use dynamic resolution... don't use render it and dyna res together.
both mods ULOD and dyna res are resource hogs, only use if you got a good computer.
