Is there a Better Parking Lot Method?
Hi,
I have tried BIG Parking Lots, Parking Lot Roads and various Modular ploppable road Assets. I know how to use them. However they all have major quirks.

BPL's fillers don't always work. You have to be precise within the grid snapping (its harder to do with snapping off).

PLR's is closest option I have found to what I like to do because I have more control over how my lines look. However PLR has some major issues too. Like parking Lot networks not connecting correctly or they just look awful. Plus, you can't make small parking lots effectively.

Modular Parking Lot is a lot easier, but there are two major issues with it as well. 1) The road texture is the static gray color and it is not effected by the Road Color Changer mod, so the parking lot doesn't look the same as my "slightly darker" roads. 2) How you place the assets is totally dependent on how your zone grid is laid out. Unless its perfect you will have a hard time getting the parking lot to look the way you want.

Other ploppable static assets. These are the easiest to use, just plop them down. However, again, the road texture is not effected by the Road Color Changer mod. So they don't look good.

Needless to say, NONE of these solutions are ideal. I like to have full control of how I make the parking lot. I like the idea of plopping down lines anyway I choose. I am kind of looking for a way to paint the pavement down and just plop on lines. However, the surface painter mod, although will allow me to do that, also has problems. 1) Diagonal lines look jaggie. And the same issue with the Road Color Changer mod, the pavement texture does't change color either, so you are left with a light gray pavement in the vanilla theme.

My question is....
Is there a better way to "paint" and have more control over creating parking lots without relying on buggy road makers? Is there a way I can paint on a surface and the pavement IS effected by the Road Color changer mod???

Thanks in advance.

You can try this, only plop one, then use "Move It" to duplicate many times.
And quickly, easy, can put them on air.

Okay, The Raisable Parking lots is okay, but has limited parking line options. However, I did find Surface Network that will work. I can put parking line decals on them.

However, when i use the decals they are snapping and are slightly off. So aligning them perfectly isn't working. And yes, I have all snapping off. So, how can I TRULY move my decals anywhere I need?

I use Move It with the BPL roads. Otherwise grab the Ploppable asphalt / pavement from the workshop. These place as a surface, and you can place the BPL parking down on them - just use Move It to place where you want them to end up.

Well, after tedious research and trying several mods/assets. I have decide to just stick with Parking Lot Roads because it gives me the best custom lines while being able to use Road Color Changer mod. BPL was okay... but a lot more finicky than PLR. The thing with BPL that annoys me is the fact that everything has to be perfect as far as ground and grid zones. If grid zones are broken up or rotated in any wise, you can't put down straight lines.

Thanks for evervyones suggestions.

These are probably a long way of what you are trying to achieve, but I made parking lots from park assets...
