Clean water is brown, how to fix?
so as the title says i want to get rid of brown water, and before you say i need to clean it because its polluted, its not, I use the Eco Water Treatment Plant, Witch when im looking at the polution there is none in the water, but the lake is still turning brown by the treatment plants, is there any way to fix that, like i said in the overlay it shows as having no pollution, ill add screenshots once i figure out how, but if anyone knows how to get rid of it that would be nice.

That will happen as there is no fresh water feeding into it. If you can, build a canal to your river so it can drain out. Make sure that there is a water source in there so you do not drain all the water out, but get it to move.

Thanks, i was hoping for a mod or something, I'm probably going to just switch it to the river then, kinda want to keep it just as a lake for a big park that i plan on building around it, but thanks, thats probably why i never seen it happening before, but thanks for the info!

With it already polluted, it will stay polluted for quite some time. Good luck. Also, use the Eco Inland Water Treatment Plants and when you can, switch to the Eco Advanced Water Treatment Plants.

If you have Green Cities and a high enough population you may also be able to try the floating garbage collector.

The eco water threatment plant from green cities is not 100% polution free, it still releases poluted water, so if you are releasing the water to the lake and as it seems there is no stream for the water do move away, the water from the water threatment will just pile up and make the water poluted again.

You can try this by placing the water threatment on the side of a channel and you will see that it still creates polution.

But if you are hoping for a mod - check out quad's water threatment facility.

I drained and cleaned the lake bed using a mod, dont remember the name, but you can place water spawners or whatever, i did that after i had already switched to the eco water treatment plant.

they are nice, but can be spendy if your trying to have a lot of people in your city, there will be a lot of sewage lol.

It still polutes even tho its not showing on the overlay, or is it just such a small amount? I have a water spawner or whatever but it also drains water if its to high.

The mod that i used for the water draining and stuff was "Extra Landscaping Tools" by BloodyPenguin

That is what I use, especially to plant large areas of trees instead of one at a time.

You can fix the water by placing a lot of floating garbage collectors. They will clean up the pollution. It takes some time and they might need to be moved around a bit, but they'll get there eventually.

You could also mod your way out of it. Pollution Solution can remove pollution from your city, so you don't have to deal with it anymore.

If you still want to deal with pollution, but just want to never see brown water again, then I recommend Theme Mixer 2 or Hide It. Theme Mixer 2 lets you change the water color to any you'd like, while Hide It can just (you guessed it!) hide the brown color.

Omg one of the best parts of the Mod, and being able to switch intensity makes it easy to mix trees so the forest is not just one kind of trees

Just be careful if you end up hiding pollution. I've poisoned my citizens a few times after having hidden pollution and then forgotten all about it! :P
