No Intercity train is coming into my city?
I am keeping my cargo lines and passenger lines always apart. I created a separate line to outside the map which is connected to the Multiplatform Train Station (which has support for intercity trains). Also the other stations that are connected to this hub have this option. But I have been looking at the connection for ages, but no intercity train has been spawning from outside the map. The connection is working. I tested it with local temporary trainstation and made a 'line' to make sure nothing was wrong with the track. So having done that I removed it again, but still no intercity train. Is there something needed to get those trains? What am I missing?

Maybe you have a mod which is being problematic.
Maybe you have unchecked the box for accepting intercity trains at your stations.
Maybe no one wants to come to your city by train so there are no intercity trains yet.
Put a passenger terminal on your cargo hub line and see if a intercity train goes there. Maybe there is a problem with the line.

The vanilla multiplatform has issues sometimes. try using a single station to test

When using the multiplatform stations, you need to connect all platforms to outside the map. The game assigns platforms to each outside connection randomly, and currently you've not connected the specific ones the game wants.

When placing the multi-track station the game picks one track to connect to each outside connection. You cannot know which station track it decides to connect where, so you will need to connect all of them to the outside world and see which one the trains arrive at. Once you know which one is connected to which outside track, you can then disconnect the rest from the outside world (if you want to).

One has to be careful with that. When using the multiplatform stations (both of them), I have noticed that trains from outside connections use any and all platforms they are connected to in any random order. I noticed this with the second city I used the end of line platform and built a yard to distribute them better from the get go after I made that thread about it. I am working on trying to get a way to create a better yard so an intercity train does not hold up a innercity train and vice versa.

Thanks for the suggestion guys about connecting all connections of that Multiplatform station to the outside of the map. I know that I am already using 2 connections. The Multiplatform station acts as a central hub where everything comes together and is located near the metropolitan airport as well. Okay, but first, my hardware has arrived and I am now planning on reinstalling a fresh Windows on a fresh new drive, which hopefully will work out. First make some copies of all my assets, settings and some print screens of the mods I use. I will let you know later if this method works on that station.
