Hi, I am brand new to PC gaming having played console most of my gaming life until now. I've just bought a gaming laptop to play some strategy games like cities skylines.

My question is around mods, where do you get them from as I dont want to download from somewhere safe. At the moment im looking for the traffic mod for skylines. I just want to be safe.

The Steam Workshop is where you will find most of the user made content including mods.

The only truly safe place is the Workshop, at the top of the page there, see? (Next to "News")

Subscribe to an item, and Steam will do the rest for you.

If it's specifically a "mod" (e.g. traffic manager) you may need to enable it in game (content manager) before it will work.

Can anybody please tell me if there is a mod out there that keeps your shipping lanes in view whilst you alter the terrain around them?

Hope your "gaming laptop" is up to it! I know someone that bought a so called gaming laptop for £800 only to find it crawls along with a few mods!!!!

l faced the same problem and used rocks to mark the pathes before terraforming
