Broken Asset: QB1: LOD xys (not findable??)
Since short a while ago (after adding several assets) I got this message. I cannot relate it to any asset, and it also does not show up in the generated broken assets list. There is not even an asset with the name "QB1: LOD xys null", but I suppose this might also be an asset that is part of a mod in such a way that it is not visible in the asset list? Anyone a suggestion? It does not hamper my gameplay, just press ok and it's done. But still, I don't like error messages.

maybe use LSM
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=667342976&searchtext=loading+screen

If that asset fails, it would provide you with a link.

Without you telling us what QB1 is we can only search in on the workshop.
If I type "QB1" in, nothing is shown.

Same if I chose building and search.

Maybe with an output log:

Or try to use this mod and run the game again:
Extended Error Reporting

I don't know what "QB1" is, it simply does not say, and in my asset list I see nothing that resembles it, hence the thought that this might be part of a bigger asset or mod, maybe.
I do have the Loading Screen Mod already installed and have an error report created. It gives me this :. The "Extended Error Reporting" mod is something I have to look into.

do you see more in the output log than you posted?

The error "LOD xys null" shouldn't be a huge deal. Does the Loading Screen Mod report the asset as broken? Otherwise I'd just ignore it. It's basically just saying that the particular building's LOD model is missing a specular/normal map combined texture. This is a really minor thing and shouldn't break the building on its own.

Actually I have same problem, but that's my prop and his custom lod just started to break not a week ago. Created definately before, but actually asset should not contain s/n textures everytime. It appears just as more dark lod texture. You also can check on your side. 5-ka russian trade network logo on my workshop, round red modules. Seems like s map disconnected, ain't gonna(but actually will) blame editor, 1st one was already broken when I've added 2nd one. Might be texture problem? It's adapted for LSM.

A completely black and/or very shiny LOD usually means the model's UV map is outside where it should be. Basically the LOD ends up with a texture from another building/prop, which is why it looks weird. It's best to avoid buildings/props that do that, as they can mess with other LODs. They will have a different error though. :)

I am getting the same thing, LCM does not show any errors... This was the first thing that shows up on google after I searched it! Anomaly???

I still have this message popping up, but also still does not affect my gameplay.

The only thing that does bother me sometimes that the game 1 out of 3 times won't shut down properly and I have to end it through Task Manager.

That mod does nothing else what Task Manager basically does, but the downside of this mod is, "Another mod", so you slow down your game even more. Better not use it then, and end the game with Taskmanager.

Having a mod doesn't affect performance outside of what it does. It isn't like assets where it takes up X amount of memory from just being there. Instant Return To Desktop is a very lightweight mod, but if you're fine with shutting it down through the Task Manager, then the mod won't make a difference for you. It's great for everyone who's not comfortable with that though.

Those people then are kind of ignorant because the mod essentially does the same. It only 'appears' less hurtful, because I think that many people assume if they forcefully shut down the game with task manager they might damage it, or a savegame. But, in all the forced shutdowns it never broke down.

Thanks, I have also unsubscribed and the error does not appeared again. These forums are so helpful, thank you again.
