You tell me what you want fixed and I will keep your infrastruce but optimize it
Some people don't take kindly to having what they've built pretty much deleted.
So you know Biffa's name. If you follow what his video tells you, you can pretty much fix it yourself.
I was one who in the beginning was terrible with roads, junctions, etc. But I applied the things he used and other as well and my traffic went from a city killing 35% to over 80%.
Now I usually try and design cities thinking traffic as I go. My cities usually in 83-86%. Not Godly but they run will enough that nothing is backed up. Things move.
Just apply what he uses and of course others and you can get your traffic humming along. If I could do it pretty much anyone can:)
Remember when you do I'll have to tear it down to build it up. Some people don't want to delete what they've built. Don't be afraid to rip up road everywhere. Or if you don't want to do that start again. Then try and think traffic. Where it's going and give it places to go more than 1.
That's the key really. Options. Most cities that have terrible traffic funnel most of their traffic into 1 place. That never works.
Hiya, If you can fix this issue I would appreciate it! The cargo trains won't spawn and if one does it never stops at the cargo station. I can't see what is causing the issue. Cheers. Tony.

Have you changed anything since it worked last time? Like removed any mods the city might depend on? Does it also not work after restarting the game?
If not, then try the Loading Screen Mod's Safe Mode options to attempt to recover from a simulation error. More on how that works here:

You can also add the mod Save Our Saves, which does something similar, but fixes different issues. I recommend doing both at the same time as they work well together. Just remember to read the description and turn it off again if the save loads fine.

If it works again, make sure to save as a new file. Generally you should always do this (I add a number at the end so I have CityName1, CityName2, CityName 3 and so on), as it leaves you with backups of your city in case something goes wrong somewhere.
If the mods above don't work, then post your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux) after trying to load the save. This guide explains where to find it and recommends some sites to upload it to, since we can't attach files here on Steam.

I have a look tomorrow as it is late for me now
One video that I really liked is one by Overcharged Egg on how to start a city that lets you get a good jump into keeping traffic moving fairly well. Part of the issue I had in some of my early cities was keeping the different zones separated to keep spedific traffic to those areas. Setting areas up so Cims can walk to where needed helps as well. I have had Cims walk large distances to get to a transportation stop of some sort if they need to go across the whole city.
Of course, giving Cims the option of public transportation helps get them out of their cars so trucks and city service vehicls can move freely helps as well. Following Biffa's advice, I have gone back and rebuilt roads and interchanges to help get traffic moving better as well.
Yeah, but do you record yourself fixing the traffic and then post it to YouTube?
Overcharged Egg build nice cities. Mods and without. I think right now he started a new city with no mods or assets other than what comes with the game.
I'm building a city now with a combo path bike and walking. I've run it through everything. If you're shocked at how far a Cims will walk. Give them a bike path. It's insane how far they will use that bike.
I'm banning all cars once they leave the highways. They want to come to my town then get on a bus, walk or bike. My pop is 35K it's going better than I thought. Far areas are tied with a bus. Tighter areas with bike/walk path. 4K on the bus:) And millions it seems walking a biking around.
Traffic is pretty easy in this game if you build it from the ground up thinking traffic. But if you build HUGE areas of industry with 1 way in and that way is through your city.... Oh my. Beginners always do that. And use the massive 6 lane 1 way road as well.
As Biffa says and it's true more lanes doesn't mean less traffic. Most times it just means you've given the AI more lanes they won't drive in:)
I echo other statements: Just by watching his videos, i learned more about city planning that i would have playing the game organically or having someone else fix it for me
Maybe I do. I have now fast upload speeds so you can even watch :)
