I modified the road, now vehicles vanish near it
So I created a new section of my town and to improve traffic I upgraded the road from 4 to 6 lanes. I then added in connections to the highway and a new landfill. Once I got it all set I unpaused the game and went to work on something else. I come back later and see almost the entire area with red trash symbols. I create a new landfill with direct access to the area and even that does nothing. I then noticed that cars were backed up on the upgraded road for no reason. There was no traffic in front of them. In fact there was zero cars anywhere on the newly upgraded road. I deleted a few and they started moving only to have the traffic freeze up again. The cars that did make it through completely vanished. So in tired frustration I shut the game off, assuming the game didn't like the traffic flow mod I was using.

Cut to today

I didn't save previously so I ignored the area I was working on. I was having trouble with congestion on a different road, highway to six lane entrance/exit, so I deleted the sections of the 6 lane and the slip lanes to make a roundabout. Once I got everything together I unpaused the game and watched the cars start to scurry to the new road...only to watch them disappear. Now most vehicles just vanish when they get close to the roundabout and those that don't go the the oppisite side of the town to get where they could far easier get to if they used the new roads. On top of that I made a new neighbor hood where I upgraded the road from 4 to 6 lanes and found that the police station that I put on that very road would NOT spawn any cop cars to police the high crime area directly across the road from it. In fact, no cars will spawn or even use the road.

I looked into it and I saw something about cars despawning if their route was blocked or something of that nature. I can assure you that my connections are good as I have no not connected symbols. I've also tried it on an earlier save where I didn't have a single mod on so I'm going to guess that it's not the mods. Anyone else even heard of something like this?

Looks like you make the road one-way where they are despawning.
I wish that were the case. For some reason if I save then back out to the main menu and load that save it starts working again. I confirmed this multiple times. I even made sure to check a truck that was going into the vanishing point right before the save. Lo and behold it was still there after the load and went right to the factory it was going to.

So I dunno. I've got a work around now I guess.

Which mods do you use? If you use TM:PE, make sure you check any lane connections - when upgrading roads, they sometimes disappear leaving certain lanes inaccessible to traffic.
I am using TM:PE now but even before using it I was having the issue. The back out, back in method seems to clear everything up.

Yes, save/exit/load will solve it as the paths of vehicles will be recalculated on load.

So it was happening even without TMPE, in the vanilla game?

I am having the same issue, just started happening. Anytime I update/change a road section, vehicles will stop traveling over the changed section. I have been upgrading a highway section from 3 to 4 lanes to test. Cars stop on the highway, some continue to move, but despawn right before the changed section. If I disable TM:PE (Latest stable build, tried the beta version as well), the issue goes away. I tried the back-to-main menu then reload, still does it. I ran the broken node detector, nothing was found. I uploaded a video of what I am seeing. https://youtu.be/CIMYKhM7JlE
Here's my mod list: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1834825693

Any ideas? Not using TM:PE is not an option - thanks!

It's a game bug that affects some users.

Use the Broken Node Detector mod to locate the problem (read mod description for more details):

Thanks, but I did that already - no broken nodes found. :(

Which version of TM:PE are you using?

@ihadav8: Could you share save game to workshop and post link here and I'll see if we can reproduce the problem.

It's possible the broken node detector isn't finding the problem and if so we will update it.

Tried all current except 11 Alpha, same with both versions.

OK, I will do so shortly - thanks!

@ihadav8 - We tested your save game and the Broken Nodes Detector mod did find a broken path. Moving or bulldozing the path fixed the vehicle despawn problem.

We noticed that your save game did not list the Broken Nodes Detector being subscribed & enabled when the save game was created. Did you forget to enable it in Content Manager > Mods?

After enabling it, open the save, then press Ctrl + 0 (zero) to open the dialog, then click "Run Detector".

It is possible that one of your other mods conflicts with it; we noticed you have an old broken mod called "Advanced Road Anarchy" subscribed. It's no longer in workshop, but you should be able to unsubscribe/delete it from Content Manager > Mods.

If you need a similar mod, I'd recommend the combination of "Fine Road Anarchy" and "Fine Road Tool" mods - they are very reliable.

I did see the broken pedestrian path node, I didn't mention it, since I mistakenly thought that wouldn't affect road traffic. I deleted it, and the game works fine now, thank you! I don't see Advanced Road Anarchy in my content manager, and I usually use Fine Road Anarchy, but had disabled it to attempt a fix of this issue. Thanks again, I can't imagine playing this game w/o TM:PE.
