savegame not loading

Hi. my save game not loading. here is what the on screen mod shows; http://prntscr.com/sz52h2.

Just curious where the problem is. I also use minimum mods and nearly no assets, 19 mods, 3 asset mods. I would appreciate any useful help, thank you in advance! :)

I'm not sure what the problem is, but there's a few things to try to recover from a simulation error. First is the Loading Screen Mod's Safe Mode, which is explained here: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/833779378/1635291505029642401/

Next is the Save Our Saves mod. Make sure to enable it before loading as it will be disabled by default. You can use both it and Safe Mode at the same time if you'd like. :)

If it works, then make sure to save as a new file, shut the game down and disable Safe Mode and Save Our Saves again. Generally you should always save as a new file as this helps protect your city from the file corrupting. I usually just add a number at the end, so I have CityName1, CityName2, CityName3 and so on.

Hi. I tryed LSM's safe mode many times, but no help. I tryed the Save our saves mode and no help.

Can you start a new game fine? What about older versions of the same city, if you have any? LIke maybe an autosave.

I can start a new game fine. Its just i build up the population. I can load into a 35k population save, but the one I want is 55k. Essentionally if I was to built up to 55k from there, its going to not load again lol...

Very strange! :S I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions left. Could be the save file simply got corrupted, which sucks, but I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else has some ideas. :/

No worries! I wish I could have been more help.

It might be worth posting on the official support forums too. Besides Paradox Support, there are a handful of tech savy players who visit regularly, and it doesn't get nearly as many posts as on here, so less daily posts for yours to disappear in. And you can attach the log or save directly to a post there, which is pretty handy.

You could try the options in the 'loading screen' mod to recover save games. At the bottom of the options screen for the mod there are 3 options to try to recover a game in 'safe mode'. I have found that this has helped me get back broken games that even the 'save our saves' mod could not.
