my friend shared city skylines with me
so basically i wanted to play city skylines so he shared with me city skylines

i installed it on his account and then once i go back to this account it just says purchase

i fully installed and i would like to know how to play it without purchasing with family share

Your friend has to activate Family Sharing in options while logged in. That allows their library on that computer to be shared with other accounts.

By advised that not all DLC's can be shared.

And also you cannot play with any of his games while his in game

Really? Which ones? I haven't had any missing on my 2nd account, except for when there's a free weekend, which confuses Steam, so you gotta do the whole thing again.

As far as I remember some of the free DLC's are not shareable.. unless if Steam maybe fixed that issue.

Aaah, that would also explain why I'v never noticed them to be missing. I'll definitely have to check next time I load up my other account. :)
