Pagefile - Is it worth it?
I have recently stumbled upon a couple of articles about Pagefile. I understand the basics, but cannot work out whether or not I need to set my PC's Pagefile to custom.

I have currently 850-900 assets and 30 mods (Move it, IPT2, Dynamic Resolution, TM:PE, etc) Dynamic Resolution Is usually set at 150%-175%. I also don't play any vanilla maps. And own all the DLCs.

My specs are (Omen laptop):

16GB ddr4 SDRAM 2666
i7-8750H @ 220ghz 9mb cache 6 core
Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5
250GB SSD
1TB HDD (where I have saved C:S)

I use Loading Screen Mod. It takes about 3:30-4:00 minutes for a brand new map to start up. I haven't pushed any city yet to beyond 10000 yet. With 10000, it takes around 5 minutes.

I get the occasional fps drop and stuttering too. V-Sync is off as NVidia G-Sync takes that over. FPS sits around 20-30 normally, but can occasionally drop to 10-11 whenever "it feels like it!".

My understanding is that upgrading to 32GB RAM won't change much IN GAME, but loading time may get a bit faster.

So, what are your thoughts about PageFile? Is it for old PCs? Is it worth setting it to 48GB for example?

That depends on how much custom content you intend to subscribe to. Try to stay within your RAM capacity as page/swap file will be slower and performance can suffer as a result. However, if you're storing the game and all custom content on your SSD, then it will be negligible compared to an HDD.
FPS is constrained by the game engine and larger cities can see it drop to around 30fps (depending on zoom in/out and how busy it is in view), but there should be no stuttering at all. If you're seeing stutter, that's an indication of an issue with your system or configuration.

I also have 16GB, and needed to add a page file to be able to reliably load the game without crashing if I leave other things (particularly a web browser) running while I play.

And that was with only 2 DLCs and a few dozen assets.

I wouldn't change the pagefiel if you don't need to - aka if the game isn't crashing with no workshop content). It's always better to stay within what you RAM can handle, even if it means living with less workshop content than you'd like.

I thought stuttering was normal and related to FPS drops. I can't seem to find any issues with my config or system. All is updated and runs smooth except the occasional drop of FPS from 30 to 10 and stuttering. Would you know where I can find out about these system issues that you are talking about?

Thank you. Can you please let me know about this:

I have looked at my Pagefile and it looks something like this:
"automatically manage paging file size for all drives" and then "Currently allocated: 24576MB". So should I change that to Custom and change it to 32000MB perhaps?

No my game isn't crashing so I don't wanna mess around with things if not necessary. I asked because I had come across the article by Snowflitzer which is posted by them in this thread.
