Street lights didn't work

Hi.
After installing some mod, the streetlights stopped lighting. Anyone know how to fix it?

What was the mod? Have you tried unsubscribing from it to see it the problem goes away?

Is it just a certain type of street light? All street lights?

The screenshot looks like it's just about dawn or dusk, where street lights turn off/on. Is it still the same when it's completely dark and in the middle of the night?

Hey has there been any follow up on this, I have been having the same issue for the last couple weeks as well.

If you share your output log (player.log on Mac and Linux), we can compare the mods and see if there are any errors, which would explain what's happening. This guide explains where to find the log and suggests some places you can upload it to, since we can't attach files on Steam.

Side Note: For myself it is all the streets lights within the city that are not working, this includes freshly started cities as well.

I noticed this same problem right after I updated to the most recent patch. Worked fine before that with ALL my mods installed.

Probably not related to the issue, but I noticed you had some broken assets, which I recommend you fix. The Loading Screen Mod can help you find the networks you are missing for them, or help you identify which ones they are in case you just want to remove them. You also have 2 local assets (sawmills) which are broken, which I would delete. They are missing some vital info and probably not worth trying to fix.

On to the street lights. Are they off all during the night? Or do they turn on at some point? Is it all roads or just some?

I see you have Electric Roads Mod 2.1, which has a feature for only turning lights on, that have electricity. Check the settings for the mod to make sure it isn't the mod doing exactly what it should. You can also try disabling the mod to see if that turns your lights back on. That would tell us if it's related to that mod or another one.

Thanks Avanya for your reply, I will work on your suggestions tomorrow evening and let you know how it went. ALL Street Lights on all roads do not work in night mode, and NEVER come on at all

I have that same mod installed, disabled it, and my streetlights don't work, either. There is no setting in this mod to turn streetlights on or off. It just says that if there's no electricity to a road, then the streetlights won't turn on. I guess I'll have to do it the hard way, and take out one mod at a time to see what's doing it.

Since you are a couple who have the issue now, you can all post your output logs and then we can compare the mods you use. That should help narrow down what's causing it at least a bit, since it would be something you are all using, and likely not a mod I run, as my lights behave normally. See my reply a little further up for how to find and post your logs. :)

I've had the same problem; I've unsubbed from the electric roads mod, and since then my street lights are working again. I've been using the 'no need for power lines' mod instead, works like a charm.
