Where are the bike lanes?
They come with what? the After Dark DLC? I bought it after I had the game installed and the bike lanes never showed up. So I googled and found someone saying that reinstalling the game solved it. But well, I just did that and I still don't have access to the lanes. What's up with that?

Edit: LANES, as in lanes attached to roads. Just liek bus and taxi lanes. I know of the bike path and I know where it is. I want to know what happened to the roads with bike lanes.

Try verifying the integrity of your game files (Game Properties -> Local Files).

They are normally part of larger (and smaller) roads - have you checked the individual road tabs?

I have, yes. Before and after reinstalling the game. I only see bus/taxi lanes, but no bikes anywhere. I didn't verify the game files yet cuz I'm actually playing right now, though. But a fresh install shouldn't have any problems. Hum...

From memory they usually come in specific formats (I haven't got the game open at the moment to check). They don't always use bikes though although the encourage option under Policies > City Planning helps.

You have to lay down a new street with bike lanes or upgrade your old streets to one with bike lanes . The seperated bikepath can be found at landscaping , same place the pedestrian pathes are

Might it be the asymmetrical lane? It doesn't mention bikes anywhere in tis description, though.

It isn't possible to upgrade regular streets/roads with bike paths (as they're called). You can't even select regular roads when trying to upgrade that way. I'm pretty sure there are regular roads with bike lanes, similarly to the ones with bus/taxi lanes. But for some reason, they're not showing up in my interface.

They should have 'with bikes' in the title or similar- they normally have a turquoise or green stripe on the road edge.

If your talking about the individual bike and walk paths they are under the terraforming tools. Because, "Colossal Order" reasons I guess...

Yeah, I thought so. I'm a little tired, so gonna take a break in a bit and verify the game files, see if that does it.

Bike lanes as in, street/road lanes dedicated to bicycles.

I have quite a few DLCs but haven't see any steets including bike lanes either.

So my questions are:
- Where have you seen them (or from what source do you know the actually exist?
- Could it possibly be that you saw them on a video from a player who used mods or road types from the Steam Workshop? Maybe you have to install them from there first?

Maybe you mean this?

At first I thought I saw in a video, which your comment made me question whether that actually happened. But then, as I was looking for answers as to why it doesn't show up, I found this thread:

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/cant-find-bike-lanes-is-dlc-correctly-installed.958102/

Notice that one of the users mentions roads with bike paths without bringing up mods, as if he's absolutely sure that they should be there by default.

So is he just wrong and we only have access to roads with bike lanes through mods?

I don't know if they required "mods" in their narrow sense. They just might be additional items from the workshop. Just found another one here:

It doesn't say you need a mod in order to use it. Maybe just try and tell us if you know.

I don't have the "After Dark" DLC so I cannot check whether it includes specific bike paths or not.

No, roads with bike lanes are 100% After Dark content. If verifying game files doesn't help, all you can do is contact Steam support.

How boody troublesome... Do they unlock as early as park features? Actually, now that I think about it, I don't have any blacked-out roads anymore.

Weird. I do have access to some After Dark content (international airport and bus terminal show up on my interface), but not THIS. Actually, I didn't check all of the After Dark features, but for only this one to be missing is certainly weird.
