Launcher takes forever to load!

Hi, I dont know about other players. but my launcher takes at least 30-60 sec to load every time. The most frustrating thing is that every time my game crashes, we need to restart the launcher again. Can we please get this issue fixed in the next updates?

We are. They mentioned a couple of days ago that they'll fix it. It should be much quicker than it is now. Since we hit the weekend, we're likely stuck with the current speed until next week. But hopefully we'll see a fix soon.

I guess the main problem is that it's not slow for everyone. The launcher loads in 3 seconds at most for me.

Thanks for letting me know. I literally took 4 days of annual leave so that i could play cities skylines and finish my project. Hopefully this issue get fixed soon. Thanks again

I wonder what affects the loading speed. I have a decent cpu, i5 9400F, 16g of ram and GTX 1060 6g. This game is also in my SSD drive.

I've seen some people speculate loading speed is related to internet connection, but I'm not sure that makes sense. At least it doesn't explain my ~1 min load time as I have no connection issues with anything else.

I've a feeling it's partly down to drive speed as it's more than one process while it's loading in.

The OP has it on SSD similar to mine, which suggests that drive speed isn't a major contributor. My guess would be it's network connection related, maybe difficulties with Paradox login servers for some users as it loads account information.

im not sure why my launcher takes a while i got a good system main drive the steam client and the game are all installed on my nvme ssd takes about a min or more to load

We've already got a fix for load times, personally tested on my own computer with a couple thousand mods (it's all mod-related). And launcher takes like 2 seconds to load once we get this hotfix deployed

Sorry for the frustration! I know it's even worse when you've taken time off to play
