Try these out to get your creative juices flowing:
1. Build a Christmas city in time for Christmas!
2. Build a city with no road access ;)
3. Build a city you would want to live and die in ;)
If you haven't already, i would recommend taking a look at the "traffic" section. I am always constructing a “jam-free” city, and this has taken me long. You can always fine tune your intersections and transportation services.
I would assign specific roles to my districts instead of waiting for them to fill. I am currently trying to establish a sharp contrast between suburban area and downtown core, which is new to me. (in my previous cities everything kind of merged together.) I believe this will make my city more similar to any real north American city. May be adopt a different city planning scheme on the next map?
Finally, there are players out there who really care about “the looks” and they have numerous assets to make cities look amazing. Maybe you want to try that out?
