Symbols when choosing a map?

Hello,

It's been a while since I haven't played, but I don't remember having symbols before most of the maps, so I figured I should ask before assuming.

I also know that the snow maps are required to play around with the winter sports DLC, so maybe the other symbols also signify that only those maps can have the features of a certain DLC, especially since it seems like the symbols are the same as the DLC symbols in the main menu.

Am I right in assuming that I can only play around with green cities stuff in the maps that have its symbol?

It would be a bit of a letdown, but I would prefer finding it out before hand and chosing the map accordingly after all.


Sorry if I missed this information in an obvious place, with no tooltip on the icons and no mention of it in the "newbie friendly" guides I tried looking at.

It just means that those maps came with the particular DLC.
Any DLC can be used on any map, though maybe snow stuff needs a snow map. Apart from that, you can put any stuff on any map.
