Is there a way to turn off roads auto-connecting to other roads?

I know about the toggle snapping options, but the roads still try to connect with all of them turned off.
I want to trace a road with another road but that is difficult since the second road tries to connect to the first road.

Fine Road Anarchy mod lets you to turn off snapping and allows free placement.

I think the snapping happens worse at the ends. I remember trying to build parallel highways and in the end it seemed easier if I built one road, then started the second road part way along the existing road, rather than starting it at the end point of the existing road. There was still some snapping effect going on, but this was how I best overcome it.

Otherwise, try building the second road a little away from the first and then using the Move it! mod to move the second road in place.

You can use the snapping to give an end point ( a small roadpiece going to anywhere ) and drag your wanted street to that point

Otherwise, do what Stealthy recommends - use Fine Road Tool and Fine Road Anarchy mods; turn off the snapping.
