Can't load save game
I started a new game with the Campus DLC, running 15-20 mods, and about 1500 assets. Computer had no trouble running it until today. It will not load up the save (I can load new games fine), even if I disable all mods. Any idea what might be causing it? TIA.

Can you upload the output_log.txt from the Cities_Data folder where you installed Skylines to? This usually contains information like errors etc.

You will probably need to use something like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Pastebin or similar.

What error do you get?

Might be memory issue. make sure Loading Screen Mod (LSM) is subscribed. Go to Options for LSM and make sure "load Enabled Assets" is UNchecked. This will only load assets that are actually used in your city. This will free up a huge amount of RAM (you are using over 24GB worth of assets!) This should free up 16GB or more.

If it still doesn't load, then it is likely a mod issues. Then post output_log using instructions from shaneturner12 above.

If it does load, then unsubscribe from assets until it loads again. Make sure no other apps are running during these tests. Just the game and Steam only.

I'm not getting an error, just an endless load time, getting stuck on the Building Manager phase of loading. I will try the settings on LSM and see how that goes.

I can see a lot of load errors in the log file, please verify your installation, if that doesn't work try starting the game with no mods and see if that works.

I have run a few tests on this, but still no results. I have verified the installation, tried the NoWorkshop start up, and still have no luck opening the save game. I started a new save game thinking it may have been a corrupt save game, but since reaching a population of around 17000 it also won't load the save, getting stuck at the Building Manager simulation phase.

I'm running on a 2.60 GHz processor and 16Gb of RAM, so I wouldn't consider my computer to be a total potato.

It looks like you're not using Loading Screen Mod - I strongly recommend using it, it makes loading faster and greatly reduces RAM consumption (it also has better error reporting than vanilla game loader):

You are missing a required network asset:

This asset is broken (mod it requires is no longer maintained):

Your log file doesn't specify what is crashing the game, but I suspect it will be RAM issues as the new patch and DLC added lots of extra content. So definitely use Loading Screen Mod - if it is a RAM issue, or some other error, it will output details in to the log file.
