First Person in Transportation DLC?

I noticed there was at least one Transport upgrade DLC
Can you ride in those blimps, monorails, etc in first person view as if looking out the windows of the vehicles?

There is a first person camera in the mods, it doesn't allow you to see from inside a vehicle but you can use it to follow a vehicle, with a few options for the camera offset to get a good view while your blimp or monorail goes through your city.

You can see it (or another similar mod) in action in quite a few of the videos showcasing the metro overhaul mod among others.

The only thing is that it is not an official DLC but a mod so it will probably stop working at some point after the authorstops updating it while the game continues to progress, but until then you should be able to use it to look at your city from wherever you want (and even after it becomes obsolete another mod with a similar goal will probably come to the front unless the game is no longer popular by that point).

Thanks for the info. I've seen Youtubes with a camera mounted ontop of the buses, etc but I figured it was an end-user mod

No, the first person camera you are referring to comes with the mod, rather than it being a "native game option".

Ok, so the camera in the mod can be re-adusted to be inside as the previous poster said or outside

Well you can move the First Person Camera inside or outside the vehicle. However, I personally would not recommend setting the FPC "inside" the vehicle, because the vehicle will be invisble with ugly vehicle mesh parts and textures sticking out. So you're better off viewing it from the outside.
