Is Cities: Skyline worth buying?
As the title questioned, is it worth it? I know I can just check the reviews but I wanna hear/see it from the community itself. I predict that people will say "Yes" because it is its own community but please be honest. Was it worth it?

I will be buying the game if most of the people say yes.

Also why? Why is it worth it?

Thank you for your time!

For me, yes it is worth it. I value a game on replayability. This and KSP have a completely open play style giving you sandbox gameplay in a nice robust package. There is no "completing" it so for me its value for money. Which is unlike many games today that are "flash in the pan" efforts with little to no replayability.

I'd say its the best city building game out there at the moment, the traffic AI might be a little bit dumb, but its okay for the most part, the game has small learning curve but its really easy to get into. download few "essential" mods and assets (of your choice) and youre good to go.

This is the best city builder by a mile. It will be for years to come, But, Its more like a traffic simulator. The amount of work you need to put in for road management is mostly 80-90% of game play. This said it can irritate but its worth it. Also if you plan to add 100,s or 1,000s of mods and assets, then you will need a powerful PC...
Yes, buy it 100%
Never had Manchego... Ive got a cheese called Afterburn but unfortunately I cannot drink with it...
Good luck with the game

You should take a look at several YouTube videos to see if you would like it. Move the Mouse and Imperial Jedi both have good "how to start" tutorials (there's lots of others). I also like T4rget Gamings Design and Management series.
One thing you can be sure though...

Cities Skylines IS better than SimCity (2013) and CitiesXXL. But you do need a decent computet to run it though.

If you like city building simulation games, this is the one for you. I play an average of 50 hours per week. I can't get enough. :-)
Thank you for responding on my question. I do like building simulation games. I used to play Sims back in the day. I will buy the and try it out. I will check videos but I really needed the response of the community. You guys are great and Thanks again!

Have a free cake :) :cleancake:

What do you expect from the game ?

I would divide city builders audience into two big groups (of course you can like both but you are generally more in one group) : the one who actually like to BUILD a city and the ones that like to MANAGE a city.

In that case, Cities Skylines is a bit too simplistic on the management part, less refined and elegant than Simcity 4 but it is the ultimate city builder in terms of designing a city.

I am more in the management group but still I like a bit of RP and casually building a city can be relaxing (CS is good for it).
Another complainst I have with CS is its lack of personnality. No humor, good but bland music. It is more "neutral" in tone than SIm(city) series.

Well... I am expecting Cities: Skyline to be like Sims but a bigger world. I mean I used to play Roller Coaster Tycoon. Whats the difference? Well the difference is quite obvious but both games has management and building mechanics, but I say RCT is more fun (I am obviously not hardly comparing both games because I haven't played CS)

I am pretty sure that CS will be fun and exciting for me.

Well in my inspections, the game is just a building game obviously but I see potential and its a free world for me to build everywhere and anywhere. I can/may have doubts to this game but hay, It's "probably" worth a try. Experiencing something new will be good for me.

I am obviously just mumbling words and being off topic but this is what I think and expect from the game since I'm gonna buy it. This is why I'm asking the community first before buying the game but I will obviously check the reviews in YouTube since it has video recordings of the game.

I just checked the review of IGN. Yes, its a outdated review but I hope its fixed. I also checked other game plays and I had fun watching them build there own cities. The game is very strategic because you need to control everything that is happening like pollution, what your residents/people thinks about, etc... I am surely gonna learn a lot from this game.

I am very bad at English so I'm sorry about that.

Yeh, I think my PC can handle the game. If not, I will just refund the game and move on. It was worth a try anyways.
