Larger maps!
Yes, as we all knew, this day would come, and as it happened too early with Simcity, we would ask the same question for Skylines too...

Currently our play area (including all 25 tiles) corresponds to 16 KM square real world area. I'm talking about having a 64 KM square playable map. That corresponds to plus *you do the math* more tiles to our current 25.

Some of you may go like "Wo Wow WOW, hold your horses mate, WTF do you need 64 KM for?!?"

And I'll answer, for reasons... and deep down inside you know you need it too!

So my question is, "is it doable with mods?" or even better, "do we have any known mods?" I can totally go for an early instable version! I can even help test it!

Any input is appreciated, thank you all in advance.

Ye the 81 is awesome, but still too small in my opinion. Hope we will have like 810 tiles once.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but each tile is 2 KM square. That would, by my math, equate to a 100 KM squared area in a 5x5 area (10*10); and as pointed out above, you could try opening up all 81 squares. But remember, the game is designed to use only 9 tiles; more than that, if fully developed, will cause problems.

Base game (9 tiles - 1 tile is 2x2km = 4 km2) which is 36 square km's worth of land.
25 tiles is as bradybrklyn said: 100 square km's.
81 Tiles (maximum map size) is 324 square km's.

Playing with up to 25 tiles won't have any major issues (baring usual perfomance issues/limits). However certain things (such as hydro-electric dams) can have issues when placed outside the 25 tile area.
