First, make sure you delete any existing public transport lines that use the infrastructure you intend to demolish, otherwise you'll have a nightmare of work to remove them after the fact.
Then just switch to the appropriate build menu of whatever it is that you intend to delete and you may use V too of course. With the appropriate build menu selected, use the bulldozer to demolish the roads/track/tunnels.

you may want to press shift while bulldozing. maybe the game doesnt know what you want to bulldoze.. maybe.. well..

What does 'Shift' do ? I know holding LMB when bulldozing lets you automatically bulldoze more of the same type of object, but not heard about 'Shift' ?

hi!

its difficult to explain for me. try to build or bulldoze a ferry or blimb line. when pressing shift the route "snaps" easier to the points on the ground. so your mouse isnt pointing directly on the point you want to build, but youre hovering over it. try it out, i guess youll find out what i mean quickly.

Ah, right. Thanks. So it's for the Mass Transit DLC. I don't have that which would explain why I didn't know !!

If you use the Move-It! Tool with the marque selection feature (specifying only nodes and/or segments) you can grab that tunnel and delete it rather easily.

CLick the bulldoze icon and hit the wee button next to it for "undergound bulldoze" mode.

Thank you @AoD_lexandro that was the fix.

Can confirm this solved my issue as well. I created two underground stops, connected the two with underground tracks, then deleted one of the stops. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't delete the tracks.
