2 Questions: Steam Input & Offline Mode

Hello, can someone please test if Steam Input works for this game or if the Ubisoft Launcher blocks it because Steam Input offers full control about getting rid of any artificial Analogstick Deadzones and more.

Second, can you play the Remaster without an internet connection to guarantee game preservation long term? Outside of the Denuvo check because Denuvo will get patched out after years anyway since Ubisoft won't pay for the DRM license forever.

steam input works as normal.
As for offline play, you have to at least connect to the internet at least once and then you can play offline. I believe that ubisoft launcher requires a fresh login in every so often however.

I have played on both my desktop pc and a steam deck both offline and online

Even after setting Ubisoft Connect and the deck to offline mode, this doesn't seem to work. Perhaps they updated that wonderful launcher, to prevent playing offline now.
