Whitewashed
The main character is significantly whitewashed. In comparison videos you can see that in the original and in the HD version Jade is much darker skinned. Much different to the remastered edition and thus I won't give a penny for the game. I'll stay with the original I bought on GOG (without DRM) and am able to play on my small laptop

Of course it's a whitewash because Jade as the main character of the original game has been and is much darker skinned for 20 years. As I said, game concepts might be different from the final product which is created and devloped over a longer period of time than a concept is. A concept is a rough sketch - the development process of a game makes a more refined medium out of it
Meds now.

As posted by Ryl OdinSon, they used a white woman as the model for the character in the original, no wrong doing with the remaster. Case closed.

Jade was never darker. It's just... the game usually takes place at night.... how strange for a game that has a lot of sneaking around :D

I can't even take this topic seriously :D

The skin tone is the same. Sometimes it's darker and sometimes it's lighter according to the lighting...

The fudge are you talking about? Read my post dudes, I´m the guy telling OP is crazy and I even posted a video proving she looks the same but light is affecting the tone scene by scene, don´t throw on me whatever you have to say to OP. I´m probably the brownest motherfrogger on this thread, you don´t need to remind me about the shifts in melanine on Indo-European ancestry.

Nonono my friend, what I did is I quoted two specific phrases you decided to use. OP is crazy, but you see, as I have done, you can point out to that fact without the need of doing what you did.

What you did, it´s INSTANTLY went to say that there´s other characters that are now darker, even citing specific cases of what you yourself have called "blackwashing". Your entire speech then changes, cause you are not just saying this dude is crazy and a racist for trying to imply this fictional character is nothing but her skin tone, but actually using the SAME crazy logic to criticize that he´s not ALSO complaining about white characters being "blackwashed".

Here´s the reality of his complains: It´s ligthing being reflected on the model.

Here´s the reality of YOUR complains: Black people and black countries are not all poor any more, so they are costumers. There´s not a secret caval of super rich lefty communist (super rich communist... I´ll let that sink in) but rather capitalism taking place. COmpanies are not "woke", or conservative, or ultra this or that, companies are money making machines, specially those on the trade market. They are trying to create a new set of costumers from a community that usually does not consume their products by hiring a more diverse cast, the people behind this decisions are all still 60s years old white rich men, and one day, there may be a few of them that won´t be all white, and there will be some woman and some black people... which main goal will still be become rich at the expenses or tricking people into thinking they are on "your side". The same company that produces Dove body positive adds also produces Axe "if it moves ♥♥♥♥ it" adds... if you see any political leaning on those adds you are not some genious who has discover the secret of the iluminate, you would be a delusional person with a very narrow view of the world.

So you are right, I don´t know if you are racist or not. What I do know it´s you have used their rethoric, you have used their logic here when it isn´t the "gotcha" moment you think it is, it doesn´t make you sound smart, and like I said it´s not neccesary cause the rest of us pointed out OP dementia without it. It´s up to you how to express yourself, and from there, people can def get the impression you are one way or the other. And just to be clear, this isn´t some "you conservatives" thing, therés a BIG difference between CONSERVATIONISM and REGRESIONISM, racism is regresionism. Be carefull of bad actors who try to sell you they are one and the same, it´s grift season since the internet was invented.

Eh? I didn't accuse the devs of blackwashing, i was mocking the OP for not acknowledging that the skin tones for multiple characters and not just the protag changed due to the newer lighting system.
