No Achievements, 60 fps lock, Forced Ubisoft launcher.
Not worth it at full price, have refunded. Wait for a sale or for Ubi to at least do the bare minimum and integrate steam achievements.

We have now reached the timeline where people are complaining about 60FPS....in a single player game. Remember when people were happy with 60FPS? I do, and I still am.

Forcing the Ubisoft launcher is the main dealbreaker for me. I am more than happy to pick the game up without that DRM malware attached to it.

Why shouldn't you be able to unlock the fps though? 60fps is perfectly fine, but its just another downer to add to the pile of reasons people shouldn't buy this.

This is a pc release, not a console game. On pc 60 fps is the bare minimun.

Do people even use Google anymore? It's a single file change and you can get up to 240hz with no noticeable audio desync. I set mine to 150 for my 144hz monitor and turned off vsync.

yeah unbelievable that people want to play at higher frame rates in 2024, we are not in the 2000s anymore.
this is a giant company we are talking about, they should meet bare minimum things for the PC version.
there are so many thing missing, like able to rebind every key to the one we want or I dont know ULTRA WIDE SUPPORT.

It's not locked to 60fps. You just have to do some INI tweaking.
This is my "%userprofile%\Saved Games\Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition\BGE.player.ini"
[Display] CPUFrameLimit_PC=false MonitorName=\\.\DISPLAY1 PresentationInterval=0 RefreshRate=165 WindowHeight_PC=2160 WindowWidth_PC=3840 [Infos] SkipBootUpMsg=1 [Performance] PCMode=2

The important things are the CPUFrameLimit_PC, PresentationInterval, and RefreshRate settings.
SkipBootUpMsg also gets rid of the apology at the beginning of the game.

If you can't change it via ingame settings it's locked.
We shouldn't have to tinker around with some files in order to get the game up to modern standards.

Imagine not having standards.

It works, and it's easy. I don't have to do any dodgy executable patching or anything. Tinkering with INI files should be second nature and really expected. If you can't play around under the hood, you might as well have a console.

Exactly. When you have no standards and no self-respect.

All this time complaining when you could have just edited an INI file or said nothing.
