This is incredibly disappointing, especially since the original release never asked players to link accounts and use an external launcher to play the game.

In fact, the original still is available in DRM-free form on GOG.

Not surprised, just disappointed.

Had the faintest of hopes this remaster would somehow be available without third-party DRM, but I should've know better what to expect from Ubisoft.

They were though because the game got removed from the storefronts of the steam store where you can't make a PSN account. Also valve removed Ghost of Tsushima from any countries storefront where you can't make a PSN account, even though you don't require one for the single player. Crazy that Sony only allow you to make an account in only 73 countries
