The bosses are too strong and even if you don't have any stuff in your inventory. There's still no guarantee that you can beat them. I managed to beat the Throatcrusher by the power of luck. But I completely got my ass handled by the bosses summoned from the altars of captive horse in undead land.

I personally find the four horsemen moderately difficult, they're really just so tanky for whatever reason, but I hate dealing with the big bosses as you have to stay very focused to break their shields or they'll regenerate.
