KH 1 - Weapon's not visable on Sora

I was very excited to play this game again after all these years.

Started the game up, picked my items, and then came the enemies.

Weapon does not show in Sora's hand--it literally isn't visible. His hands move as if he has a weapon in them, and damage is done to enemies, but the weapon isn't visible.

Not just a starting zone issue.

I got to Destiny Island, got the wooden sword, that, too, isn't showing in Sora's hands.

How can I fix this visual glitch? Makes game hard to play.

Sounds like an issue with your hardware because that's the first I've heard of it.

I'm having problems finding people with a similar issue, too.

It's happening, though.

Odd hardware issue to only effect Sora's weapon...

I have this issue too. No idea what to do. Sora's weapon just isn't there. I thought I misremembered the game and he just had fists only on the island, but I have the keyblade now and can't see it. Terrible.

Okay good news: I got this working by verifying game files (right click the game > Properties). When I did this, it said 4 files were corrupted and automatically patched them, which took a few minutes. After that, I can now see the keyblade.
