So you could play with someone else and you’d all get quick command level ups
That makes a lot more sense why it's even there, since playing by yourself kind of sucks
But for that, the HD ports rebalanced so that it’s doable alone

Did they have boards with other songs? Or was it really just that one awful song on a loop forever?
Depended on the board. Like the Disney Town board played the Mickey Mouse Club March and the starter board had the Land of Departure music. Bibbity Bobbity Boo was only on the Cinderella board.
