I am not sure what to choose. I like a challenge but I don't want to endlessly grind

Anything lower makes it too annoying to unlock the Final and Secret Episodes.

Setting it to Proud makes it a lot easier to just see the true ending of everything if you can handle something slightly more difficult than Normal.

Aren't all cutscenes just unlocked before you even play?
KH1 has every cutscene unlocked

No I think you have to beat KH1 on Proud to unlock the secret cutscene

That’s only for 1 cause it was an update in the console versions.

I played it on Proud back in the day and I'll be doing the same here. Honestly though BBS is my least favourite KH game in the entire series. The combat is so damn stiff.

You sound better than I was. I played this on normal when I was 14 and I died all the time, even though I had no problems with 1 and 2

Right now, I am currently playing with Aqua after trying the other two, and yeah I completely forgot how slow Terra is. Seriously, it feels like they designed the game with Aqua and Ven in mind and then just added Terra at the last second. And his counter is maybe only good for a few bosses.

I would probably play on standard or beginner. You won't find a challenge in BBS no matter how high the difficulty is, you'll just end up being forced to grind so you're not doing microscopic damage to basic enemies.
