I went back to play the OG after spending 100+ hours in the remake now I have a disgusting habit of trying to parry in this game. ffs I died or got hit cause of that when i could have just used my shotgun or walked back. TL;DR THIS GAME DOES NOT HAVE PARRYING YOU IDIOT

Being able to just parry any regular enemy's attack with your knife seems broken AF though, especially if the knife doesn't even lose durability in the process. I mean, to each their own, mods and cheats are out there for anyone who wants to use them, but the game was certainly not balanced with such a huge advantage for the player in mind.

not gonna lie i never used parrying unless it was kruisers fight and i beat professional s-rank
