My god, so many snakes!

I happen to have a pretty bad case of ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) and this game is just killing me lately. I just went through the last couple areas leading to the lake and I've ran into a bunch of them, either hiding in boxes or swimming in the swamps.. blagh!

I've played through RE4 on both the PS2 and Wii but man I don't remember it being this bad. Anyone else notice this or just my bad luck?

I am 99% certain all snake and critter locations are set in the game. It doesn't have anything to do with luck. That's why everyone remembers the first snake location (after the church and green gem puzzle) as the time to start double knifing crates.

Also as a side note to this, you can break/destroy the egg that the snake drops if you knife it.

Must just be my memory, and yes double knifing or even shooting from a safe distance lol. Accidentally triple knifed in my panic yesterday and killed the egg.. sad face.
