Which version of RE4 is the best?
GameCube, PlayStation 2 & 3, mobile, Xbox 360, Wii, or this new "HD" version (with gamepad or keyboard)? Which version is the best? I really don't care about the graphics if the controls are good. I've heard people praising the Wii version?

UHD has 60 fps which is not possible in any previous version. And it's the only ported version that has the original GC/Wii shader/Gloom effects. Also there is Albert/Criss Morales HD patch coming next year which will make UHD the best looking version in terms of texture detail. And of course 1080p over the Wii version unless you emulate it. And fair mouse support in my opinion

So i vote UHD

I'll give my vote for Gamecube version because it's the original. But I do think that the Steam version probably earns the second place even with all the technical issues it has.

UHD, hands down. Best looking, best controlling. Wii version is fine as well if you don't mind the lower resolution- the controls are great.

I'd say the Steam version is technically the best, but I really liked the controls in the Wii version. Given a choice, I still prefer the Steam version over the Wii version.

You guys that have been saying the Steam version, do you play with a controller (and which?) or with keyboard and mouse? I heard the mouse and keyboard setup sucks.

KB+M works just fine with fluid RE like RE6. I can't imagine it being much fun with static RE like RE4

In my opinion:

- The Game Cube version has better graphics

- The Play Station 2 has the best extras and good gameplay

- The steam version, Remastered Graphics, 60 Fps (with some bugs), change lasercolor (for me is the best Ha ) and all the extras from the Play Station 2.

Agree. I think the UHD is the best, but the controls on the Wii edition were nice.

I play with KB/M and think the mouse aim is great (aside from the bug I encountered with the first boss that made the aim sensitivity completely screw up). Keyboard controls could use some work, but it doesn't take long to get used to.

I also own the Wii version, and while I loved the controls for it, mouse aim is superior to using the Wiimote to aim. Overall, I prefer KB/M the most out of any version.

The main thing the Wii version has going for it is having the best stability. No extra hassle in dealing with the additional bugs the UHD has, but I like the UHD the most.
