Salazar statue QTE bug !!!

Problem with Robot Salazar(statue) the command to "run" is ok. But the command to avoid the falling pilar doens't respond to commands. This is when I'm dying. It appears to press button 5 to run, this is ok, but when the first pilar is falling, it appears to press button 6 and nothing works. can someone help me???

Same problem here, but im playing on xbox 360 controller. This bug apears in 60 FPS mode, to avoid it - change FPS to 30 in the settings. Get through this moment - change fps back to 60 - done. In 60 FPS mode, game thinks that what you press the buttons are "too slow". And this is still not fixed (beta 1.0.5). Tested this location on KB/M and xbox 360 pad. Works same.

The problem is, it isn't a bug. Same issue happens at the end of the minecart ride immediately before this particular area. Its a situation where you need to press the button X number of times during Y number of Frames - easy enough when running at 30FPS, but when running at 60FPS you fundamentally have half the amount of time to do it. Not impossible, but much more difficult than was ever intended... or reasonable.

I encounter this bug today and read the comments to find solutions. I figured it out by using the mouse. The first button prompt for running worked normally on the gamepad, while for the others I used the left and right button on the mouse. Seems weird, but it worked!

Try to follow this, at least worked for me after a couple of hours trying "everything".:

1- Put 30 FPS on video options.
2- Disconnect your USB joystick.
3- Restart Windows and/or Steam.
4- Start RE4.
5- You need to use keyboard and mouse follow the keys (x to run, and right and left mouse to evade falling stones). Play with keyboard and mouse from the salazar robot point (nearby is a machine to save).
6- When you reach to a save point, save and restart RE4 with your joystick connected to the USB port and put 60FPS again in video options.

Doesn't work for me on my laptop's track pad and I haven't got a mouse xD

Got past the first two pillars but the ones where you have to click left and right at the same time just doesn't work >:D

i cant change the fps as its stuck as fixed 60 fps

Either use HD Project, or RE Tweaks to fix all the problems with the game. I recommend HD Project, runs well even on a normal HDD, and comes with the tweaks installed. You press F1 and tinker with whatever you want. All the QTEs and things are already solved and checked there.

If none of you can remedy this, I advise using a controller or dowload RE4 HD project which fixes the button timings of QTEs in terms of speed needed on the button presses and any other flaws. Plus, the HD project fixes other things and corrects the half ass job Capcom did on the remaster. it enhances and also brings back all of the extra graphical effects from the OG GCN version which were also inexplicably left out.

Use Re4 Tweaks, it's fixed there, also Re4 Tweaks have many nice options you can enable like disabling QTE completely, Toggle sprint key, a built in trainer where you can spawn any weapon and ammo you want, enable weak enemies so they die in one hit, very nice to quickly pass the Del Lago fight. A much better Camera following the player etc, disable the need for ashley to be near you when going through doors or disabling her altogether.
