How long is the story mode.

Im playing on easy (because its my first resident evil game) im at 4 -1 and about 6:30 hours in. How much do I have left. I'm also not the best at this game so sidetracking and long pauses happen a lot for me.

my first playthrough was over 15 hours. also because i took my time and trying to search every corner for ammo and money to upgrade my weapons.

my second playthrough i ended up with over 8 hours, because i cut corners.

now im at my third playthrough which should take even less.

9 Hours on average if it is your first run, then less than 3 hours after you unlock the Chicago Typewriter

If you don't achieve those times you are clearly doing something wrong...

Its pretty long I would say if you know what to do and where you have to go you should get through it in roughly 10-11 hours (I am good in this game and it always took me around 10 hours to finish it). If you are very new to this game it could take you like 20-24 hours to complete and if you just stop by to smell some roses, even longer. Overall its pretty long and devided in 3 big sections ! Village, Castle, Island ! Cheers

youre around half-way done. In general the game is around 15-20hours, but on easy it can be a few hours short of that.

Way back on PS2 my first run was over 20hours. If you try to get every treasure and cash in the game it takes quite some time. This is on Normal mode. It's one of the longest non openworld singleplayer games I've played. It's one of the reasons it's such a great game.

anywhere from 9-15 hours depending on how bad or good you play,if you explore a bit more and take your time,ect.

My very First time playing, on normal, I think I came in at around 15 hours and 32 saves, and I don't recall doing much backtracking.

My first run in this ultimate edition, in which I didn't skip any cutscenes, clocked in around 11 hours, but I also spent a lot of time back tracking and treasure hunting.

My Current Professional run is at the beginning of the zone after the castle I've skipped all the cutscenes and have done a little bit of backtracking, I haven't checked but I think I'm at about 5/6 hours.

No matter which way you slice it, RE4 is one meaty chunk of game.
