RE4 HD Ultimate Edition 100% save file?
Not sure if the save files for the regular RE4 and the HD Ultimate Edition are different or the same because of it being different versions? But I'm looking for a 100% save game with all of the unlocks. If you can send one it would be greatly appreciated. I've looked online I havent had much luck on this. Also a cheat engine table as well if you know of one?

you guys had any luck getting this to work on re7? or perhaps someone can explain how to replicate this on re4?
Phew, dunno wether I can be more specific, but I'll give it a shot!
Step 1. => Erase all save data from before
Step 2. => Open RE4, let the game create the savedata, EXIT
Step 3. => Open the savegame you just created in the Hex Editor MX software
Step 4. => find all lines of code that are NOT nullified (zeros) @ =[BSM]=TheArm : there ARE lines that contain information, not ALL lines are nulliefied, you didn't look thoroughly enough! Since I don't have the empty savegame (already finished RE4 by now) I cannot tell you the exact positions, but it were 2-3 lines of code very high up the file and 2-3 lines pretty much at the end of it. You can also use the search / compare function of the program to find all differences.
Step 5. => Open the downloaded savegame you want to import as well
Copy the lines of code from the first savegame (the hexadecimal as well as the Ascii values) and replace the exact same lines of code in the imported savegame with these!

For example, a line may look like this:

0x023F0: 08 80 01 00 E8 03 00 00 83 0E 14 FE E2 04 00 00 (followed by some Ascii values)

The first part (0x023F0) shows you the line (position) so this is really important to match, when you import the code. After that there are the hexadecimal values (08 80 01 00, etc) and the Ascii values which you need to copy. Sometimes it's just a really small differnce that can go by unnoticed, if you won't look hard enough, but believe me:

the information of your Steam ID IS SAVED here! As it is hexadecimal, it won't look like something you can recognize as it, but it IS SAVED here!

So in short: if you find (as an example) that in line 0x7ED30 of you fresh created savegame there are values, you will want to copy those, and paste them in line 0x7ED30 of the file you want to import, overwriting any existing values there!

Guys, believe: it IS as I say, the information you need is right there in the savegame AND this works DEFINETLY! Played through the game by now, using the savegame that barbaraedestroy provided! No matter what you read elsewhere: this IS THE WAY TO GO and this will work 100%, you just need to take the time to thoroughly inspect the code!

Hope I was able to help you guys!
@ =[BSM]=TheArm:

1- no need to do so at all, that suggestion had something to do with a different workaround that apparently did not work, the Hexedit is a sure shot without the need to switch through online/offline
2- cannot answer that
3- forget these as well, they also did belong to a different workaround method that did not work at all

Referring to the savegame: recognized this as well, no pro mode, Mercenaries not unlocked, so my gues would be that it has nothing to do with regional restrictions, as I am living in Germany! It is even the other way around: in Germany the Seperate Ways minigame with Ada Wong was always cut out of the game, this savegame made it possible for me to acces it!
Pro is not unlocked in this savefile, you need to play through once, that did it for me! I can access Seperate Ways through loading the save (new game +) that is named "ADA" !

one thing ive heard about RE pc game side is that there also tied to RE.net or something like that, unsure if that is the case with RE4 but with some later ones i guess save editing leads to being banned on there side, banned from events, and whatever else.
hopefully that isnt the same for the older one, just thought id mention what ive heard before.
as chance the saves trying to call out to there website possibly.

RE4 is not supported by RE.NET, so answer is no.
You whole accound will be banned for sure in RE.Net if you modify you save game file in any of those games: REV1, REV2, RE6, RE7, Remake or Umbrella Corps.

Anyway, as i wrote before, persons with no honor modify save game files in games that have achiwments and leaderboars, and think they are not cheaters if thy layed this game eraiel on other platform. But truth is they are cheaters with no honor.

I will try that, but once again none of my saves are loading anymore =( I think there is some online validation about time played or something that isnt lining up. I solved this last night by putting the game offline, replacing files, and going back online again. This isnt working today though.

EDIT - staying OFFLINE and loading the remotecache.vdf file that came with this download and any savegame.sav file works for me, so I will just keep RE4 offline every time I play, as Steam doesn't like you switching this file up while online.

So no Mercs for you either?

No Mercs for me either! And try to disable Steam-Cloud Sync, that maybe the problem affecting you! I don't think staying offline entirely is necessary, just disable Steam Cloud and see if that gets rid of your problems!?

Not really. There are tons of valid reasons why you need a save file.

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RE4. I've beaten this game at least 50 times and I have no interest in unlocking everything again. My save file vanished from the cloud and I'm sincerely not going to unlock everything again.

This game is literally older than you are.

It would be one thing if you were talking about a game that just came out but if you were talking about an old game like FF7 or FF8 or RE2, etc, then no - there's no reason to even get butthurt that people want a save file for it.

^ THIS ^

I have a tonload of old games in my collection I played through on different platforms when this guy wasn't even born, but once he will get into a more mature style of living, he will notice that time is even more precious than gold, so a lot of us are not willing to invest it AGAIN!

o.o ive been watching this thread since it started, didnt feel like chimeing in till now.
the idea of save sharing can be a bad thing, as some people prefer being lazy using shortcuts v.s actually playing the way games were meant to be played.

growing up wise ill admit i used gameshark and such at times, but as you get older you see its more fun and rewarding to play without them.

i end up replaying many of my older classic games myself <3

but yeah one excuse which kinda urks me is when someone says '' ive finished the game already'' which sometimes more then less is an excuse.
but if someone has finished the game before and wants to use a save thats there choice.
yet no way for us to know which it is.

as for RE4 ive beat this one via ps2 long ago atleast once, loved it and now moving unto the pc version via fresh start as i enjoy the challange <3

oh and another thing, remember to keep things respectful aye, just because your for or against something doesnt mean it should turn into an slapfight or anything. :bbtcat:

You don't have time for play it again? Don't play then.

As long as achievements and leaderboard is here on steam version and you still modify your game talking about something you played it on other platgorms its just pathetic execuse, nothing more. again this change nothing and you are just players with no honor.
