I had a save file on the Final Chapter so I've only tried one cutscene but it worked ok. Also backup your save file as always, just in case.
Leon's Jacket is fine to use during the entire game, tested it myself.
Nifty, I may use it for my Pro run then. Whenever I manage to get to it. Thanks for mentioning that.
Ok, here's a quick tutorial.
1.) Just extract it to a folder and start up Modmanager.
2.) Once open, go to the Menu in the top right corner. Select your Current Game as RE4 of course, then hit the "Launch Resident Evil 4" button.
3.) Once the game is loaded, go ahead and load a save and then Alt-Tab out of the game. Bring up the Mod Manager and hit "Hook Trainer".
4.) Now click "Poke". Then click the "Character" button.
5.) Change that to Leon w/ Jacket.
6.) Reload the save file you're using or want to use, and now you'll be wearing the jacket.
I think it'll save like that and won't require running the trainer everytime, but you'll have to try and see. Like I said also, remember to back up your save just in case, though you should be fine. Always better safe than sorry though.
Awesome, glad it worked for ya!
