Mouse movement is terrible
Posting this so that the issue stays in the limelight until the issue is rectified with a patch.
The game's mouse movement has forced negative mouse acceleration that cannot be turned off. It's terrible as all hell.

Video demonstration of the problem :

And now I shall wait for the Capcom apologists/shills to tell me that this is fine, and not an issue, while they continue to say that it doesn't bother them, despite them using a controller and insisting for myself and everyone else to use a controller to play the game with.

I agree mouse movement needs to be fixed... the way it feels now completely ruins the experience

I don't exactly think it ruins the experience, but I do agree that there is problems with it and they do need to be fixed.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what the weekend patch has in store.

Sorry, I keep hearing it's coming around the weekend.

I gotta stop being so gullible.

Please fix this Capcom.

Try bring out the knife and moving the mouse back to quickly aim at a downed enemy. It's the most frustrating experience. It literally takes more time to use the knife with a mouse vs a gamepad because the gamepad responds immedietly. For the first half second or so the mouse just outright doesn't register.

We paid money for this, a patch to fix these problems is the least you could do for us Capcom.

Not an apologist, I'm just not having those problems. Maybe I'm used to the mouse mod of the older pc port? I don't know. Played through normal, Assignment Ada, Separate Ways, and working on a Pro run now. Mouse aiming works great. Occasionally, it will go wonky if the camera is moved out too far, but that rarely happens.

If someone doesn't experience an issue, and they say because they don't experience the issue that no one else does, and the game isn't broken for anyone, and continuously says that Capcom didn't ♥♥♥♥ up anything, I see them as an apologist.

Thanks op for the video yeah i agree its a big problem capcom fix your damn game.

Bought this game primarily because they are featuring mouse controls, if I were sticking to gamepad I'd play it on a friend's PS3... Funny how the biggest feature is wonky, and people are defending it by saying originally the game being a console port, therefore the mouse has to move sluggishly like it's a gamepad. What the F?

You made a PC game with mouse support, then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do it properly.

I use my 360 controller myself, but I kept hearing about the negative acceleration on mouse. Just tried it out, wow. Yeah, definitely needs removed. Or at least seriously toned down and made optional.

I understand wanting to try and keep the game somewhat balanced for mouse use, or I guess that's what they were going for at least, but it really doesn't. It's actually harder and totally unlike the responsiveness of the analog stick. The controller responds more like a mouse than the mouse does honestly lol

Before I purchased RE4 I read a review, the reviewer said that compared to Dead Space the controls seemed needlessly awkward. They meant the way the character doesn't follow where the player is aiming the mouse - that was pretty much their only negative comment.

I have to say, after playing the game (which I first owned and completed on the Gamecube with a controller) I have to agree. If they can include an alternative control mode that would be a huge ,and very welcome, improvement.

Apart from that it's a fantastic game that deserves to be played by as many PC gamers as possible!

Yeah, I was OK with the mouse feeling a bit strange aiming, but this made me plug in my 360 controller. It seriously feels like until the knife raising animation is done it won't register the mouse movement at all. Kind of jolts your aim when it does, but an analog stick doesn't have this problem. Shame, but I still enjoy the game even though I was looking forward to messing with KB&M controls.

I honestly think they did it on purpose to make the game more challenging. I got use to it so it's not really a big deal to me anymore
