Are you trying to use it on a brand new save file? Unlockable weapons are only available if you continue a save that has beaten the game.

I beat seperate ways after starting my next game, does that mean I need to beat it again for the weapons to be in the merchant?

You have to beat Ada's Assignment, not Separate Ways. It will be available once you beat the game after beating Ada's Assignment, so yes, you have to beat it again.

Beating Assignment Ada unlocks it for Seperate Ways.
Beating Seperate Ways unlocks it for Cleared Game Saves.

No. You have to start a Cleared Game to see it.

"I started pro from a cleared game doesnt that count?" How is that even possible? You will have to clear the game once, and basically on a 'new game+' you're able to buy that weapon.

If the Ashley is wearing a knight armor suit, that's because you're wearing the gangster suit (Special 2), which means it's not bugged.

I see about the armor, well I cleared normal then I started a new game and did it on professional, that is how its possible, pro isnt availble until normal is beaten.

Yes, but you said that you started pro from a cleared game, so I thought that you started a new game+ in harder difficulty from your previous save, instead of just starting a new game in new difficulty.

Unlockable weapons (Infinity Rocket Launcher, PRL 412, Chicago Typewriter, Handcannon) can only be acquired when you load a "Cleared Game" save which starts the game over with your gear from your last play through.

Unlocking Professional difficulty is a system save (Settings, what you've unlocked, etc.), not a game save. When you started your first Professional difficulty play through, you could not have loaded a Cleared Game save since you haven't cleared Professional yet.

In short, you won't have access to the Typewriter in Professional until you beat Professional at least once.

You can, however, load your Normal "Cleared Game" and get it if you want to play with it right now.

Good luck on Pro though.
