Garrador!
Ever since playing this game back in '05 I can never seem to keep a grenade for the Garrador fight in the cage and inevitably I die a few times trying to escape. Damn my grenade supply :P

You only need a flash for this (maybe 2). Throw one right at the beginning, shoot the Garrador in the back with the shotgun, shoot the lock to the left (2-3 shotgun shots). Kill as many Zealots as possible while running to the other side of the cage so the Garrador doesn't come out the cage. Then everything afterwards should be quite easy.

I don't have any that's the thing, I've always used them up before this point, I can't prioritize them right :P

I just down right hate all Garrador fights but the first one. The situations they throw you in are just down right absolutely unfair. Which is part of the challange of them, but I'd prefer fighting Krauser.

Main thing is get out of the CAGE ASAP. After that you just widdle down the enemies, and try to get a magnum or prefered a Rifle Shot to it's back every chance you can. Only takes like 3 rifle shots to it's back to kill it.

Just avoid getting hit by the smaller guys, they're the real challange after you get out of the cage. Avoiding mr Blades while trying not to get attacked from behind by his minions.

I never use any grenades in that spot, I open the chest and such but I turn right around to the door and spam the lock with TMP and kick the it open and run to the door. He has yet to get me like that.

Seriously? It's worth killing the Garrador and the Zealots for the money. Also your route isn't nearly safe. You could get hit by an arrow easily. And if you go back there later, there are new enemies which give you money (going back due to free Broken Butterfly).
Also you get a free flash grenade at the left corner anyway (if you're going there close to the wall you can get it before becoming trapped).

You could just shoot the lock out, run out and hole up in the alley with the painting at the end of it and just slowly wait for the enemies to funnel in.

Though sometimes they just give up and stay in the cage area, so you can pretty much just move up slowly and pick them off one by one.

Never happened to me. Not sure about you, but I usually have enough grenades and money that I can live without that drop of money and the flash. And I am aware that you can get the bb once you get Ashley back, and thats when I usually pick up the flash grenade. I've played it plenty of times, this is just my way of doing things

Well, I like to get as many money as possible to get the unique weapon upgrades and other stuff as early as possible. I had 300.000 Gold at 3-1 (castle); first shotgun, Red9 and TMP upgraded to the max. at that point.

You can grab a flash grenade before triggering the cage. Hug the wall to your left as you enter the room, break the glass, and grab the flash grenade while being careful not to move too close to the center of the room.

That's what I wrote in my 2nd last comment before this one.
A grenade is what I keep for this fight. One grenade, kills the zealot next to you, stun Mr. Knifefinger, and opens the door for you. If no nades, then guess you should shoot the lock as fast as you can.
