Normal Vs Easy
Easy = Less Enemies More Ammo/Items in general. Enemies seem to drop items more often, and there is rarely a dead enemy that doesn't drop something. Damage seems roughly if not identical to Normal mode. Starting with the Shotgun is also nice.

Normal = I've noticed dramatically less ammunition/item drops off enemies. No longer does every chicken lay an Egg the moment I walk into the farm. Not even half the enemies seem to drop money/items.

On Easy I came out of the village with a huge surplus of ammo because of the volumn of enemies you have to defeat so early in the game. I did so on Normal and I'm down to around 20-30 pistol rounds and 15 shotgun, not even half what I came out with on Easy.

I'm stating this officially as all I've seen on the difference between Normal/Easy is you start with a shotgun, and specific parts of the game slightly changed. But it also seems to effect the drop system quite heavily.

Basically Easy is truly Easy. More money, more ammo, more healing items so much so you run out of space pretty fast to carry it all. It makes the game as easy as Resident Evil 5. LOL

I just want to play professional. Can someone loan me a game save?

By the way, RE5 was not easy on Professional. Playing it from scratch is very challenging. It's only when you start it with an infinite rocket launcher that things start to get easy.

You can farm as many eggs as you want, though. Just clear the farm without killing any chickens, save your game and keep realoading. I've had my inventory full of eggs lol

Never tried easy mode actually. For each version of RE4 I've always started on Normal.

Easy mode also skips some parts of the game, for example you never go in the labyrinth garden or need the key for the castle.

#1 Rule, Carry a Handgun/TMP/Rifle/Shotgun as soon as you get a medium case. The amount of ammo you find helps....

Some say abandon the TMP until later in the game, or sell the rifle out right after using it shortly after... for space reasons... but issue is you don't find ammo dropped off enemies if you do not have the weapon in your inventory.

So more weapons, more random RNG might drop random ammo. TMP is also nice being you can find a lot of ammo for it fast, it's useful for a lot of the reasons a hand gun is useful but the ammunition is often easy to find, in larger volumns than any other ammo type.

Professional in RE4 is comparable with RE5 Veteran (this means, it's still very easy)

Don't get the first rifle at all. There are really too rarely far away enemies until the castle, where you can buy the way faster auto-rifle.

To be honest I like to have one of each kind of weapon. A handgun, a TMP, a Rifle, a Shotgun, a Magnum and even the Mine Thrower. Hell, you should even consider having two magnums. You can buy one as soon as you reach the castle, then when you save Ashley just go back to a place where you piggyback her to a window and she'll open a door for you. There's another magnum there, gold, treasure, etc...

Deplete both of them but do not reload, upgrade the capacity, you'll get a nice advantage.

Personally I found RE5 easier than RE4. Co-op mostly made it easier though.

Well on PROFESSIONAL (Single) it was a damn hard game :/

For how easy it was to find ammo off dead enemies, I don't think it was that hard. Only problem I had with Professional mode on RE5 was the near impossibility to pass Quicktime Events. LOL

The thing is, you can upgrade all your guns and get infinite ammo for all of them before going to professional in RE5. That makes the game sooooooo much easier. In Re4 you need to start from scratch. If RE5 were like that, professional would be a ride in hell.

The TMP is a waste of space. You're better off never bringing it and just selling all the ammo for cash to use for upgrades. For professional all you really have to do is utilize the melee system as best as possible and make sure to not waste any money on any handgun other than the Red9 as it is by far the best.

You can also revisit other missions over and over agian to grind ammo/cash if you run low, on any difficulty at any time at that. Though if I recall you can start Professional from scratch. I'm not 100% sure anymore, I've not played it in years. Not a huge fan of RE5.

It isn't a waste. It's a very good weapon actually, DPS is madness on the TMP, it wipes enemies out as fast as the Striker can while also funtioning as a good ammo saver for other weapons. By the time you have a L and XL case, there is no excuse not to have this awesome weapon. Also wonderful for fighting Giants, shootem in the face, it's high DPS will bring them to their knees very fast if you lack grenades.

The TMP is pretty damn fine. I always buy it at the first merchant and upgrade everything possible at that point. But if I am low on money later, it would be one of the last ones to upgrade, I'd upgrade shotgun and rifle first.
