Just tried using this script and the QTE still failed.
:edit: I just went back and tried o for the mouse wiggle and it moved the ingame camera back and forth, so it seems the script is working in game. So since the x mashing should be fast enough I guess this confirms the QTE just doesn't work at all for me.
Until now I haven't come across a single bug that affected gameplay in any way, but after failing 11 times at this IN A ROW when i'm mashing the key like crazy (on normal difficulty btw) it's become obvious that it's some game breaking bug.
Even if it weren't a glitch, I still have the Wii edition and every time I got that sequence on the first try on professional difficulty; so something's definitely up here.
Haven't tried the QTE script but i'm hoping I have some luck with it because ♥♥♥♥ restarting the game from the beginning at this point and who knows how long it'll be before a patch is released.
I'm sorry to hear it was to no avail, and I guess that if the script doesn't work, it really it is proof that there's something wrong.
ps: Some people said that mashing "e" worked for them. You can easily edit that:
while(var)
{
Send {Blind}{x DownTemp}
Sleep sleep_var
Send {Blind}{x up}
Sleep sleep_var
}
becomes
while(var)
{
Send {Blind}{e DownTemp}
Sleep sleep_var
Send {Blind}{e up}
Sleep sleep_var
}
Edit: I just tried it now with Ashley turning the crank and it worked -- remember, hold "p".
I wonder what it could be though.
I did the suggestion of switching the FPS to a fixed 30 and I still haven't gotten any results with two more tries.
