For low end Pc help
Does anyone know how to completly turn off shadows and to put it to 640 by 480? (yes it will look like ♥♥♥♥ but I bet other people are looking as well) Any REAL help is great. (fell free to add tips for anything that will boost fps besides "buy a new________")

Are you running a pc from 1999? Theres no reason you should have to turn the setting down THAT low.

laptop ._. core i3 sadly
I'm looking to solve framerate issues and holy crap, I thought MY computer was bad. You seriously actually need to buy a new one whenever possible. That's absolutely horrible. Unless you're either exaggerating or don't know much about PCs because 640 x 480 is almost never necessary.

On the other hand if I find anything regarding framerate fixes I'll let you know, but seeing how the game was released a short time ago, there isn't much yet.

By the way, does the framerate suck, or does the game run at a good framerate but in slow motion?

If it's the latter try changing the FPS cap to 30 instead of 60, that helped me a bit.

there is a config file in Documents\my games\Capcom\RE4
try to turn off vsync for a start.

A core i3 is below the minimum specs isn't it ? I would try turning everything to low and running it at at least 800x600 . 640x480 will likely give you eyestrain.

The cpu doesn't matter or affect the graphics. It is your graphics card. Laptops don't tend to have good cards. Or cards at all. They tend to have integrated graphics via CPU. So your CPU has nothing to do with the graphics.

i use a laptop but it still has a 3gb 560m in it which seems to be enough for this game.
i wouldn't call it powerful but i spose it is compared to most integrated ones.
It certainly handles the game at 60 fps @ 1080p . though i had to turn AA off and shadows to medium . It still looks decent though.
I do want to upgrade but trying to hold off until nvidia release the new cards this year.

Well my post was directed toward the OP. He/she doesn't need to worry about the CPU.

ahh true enough plenty of people play pc games on i3's don't they?

I have a 512mb graphics card HD Radeon can i play this game then? The rest my PC is good enough but it is my graphics card i don't no if a HD Radeon with 512mb is enough for this game.

My CPU is fine, its mainly my graphics, but I was able to run skyrim at 30 fps after turning off shadows, so if I can find out how to do that I should get better proformance.
By the way, for the vsync fix, I think you have to go into the config.ini properties and set it to read only.
