Unlockable Costumes?

Are these in the game?
I remember beating RE4 using only melee and grenades, not sure if that was for a costume or just to do it, but I do recall having some kind of tuxedo or gangster outfit for leon I unlocked somewhere in the ten million times I played it on Gamecube.

Will those unlockable costumes be in the PC version? Or does nintendo still own the rights to those costumes because the game was on gamecube?

haha, its tough I think the most annoying part for me, I forget the situation exactly but from my memory, there were 2 real tough parts. One was using grenades where you need to pelt these guys real far away their the cult guys, I think the girl is over there, I kinda forget.

The second annoying part was the boss fight with the guy in the shed who seals the door his eye falls out. He grows real tall then I had to run side to side on top If I remember knifing him.

A long part was that first big troll guy, There is scaffolding to run up stab him then Id run down and run around and back up again, that took forever because he has ALOT of HP. while he wasnt frustrating it was more of an endurance run to pull that off.

Also its not trolling to do a melee run, this is a discussion forum, because people have different opinions doesnt make them liars. A debate is fine afteral its a discussion, but being mean to people wont win fun friends to coop with, so be more happy to get more buddehs to enjoy gaming with.

I dont remmember exactly about the Rocket Launcher part, if its scripted where I have to use it then there is nothing I can do, I dont really remember that part well, this was a long time ago. But after going the whole game using a knife and grenades if he can be knifed I wouldnt have just given up on the last boss at the last part, Id push through that pain and keep going as long as it takes, Im pretty sure the RPG is only a quick kill and he can be killed with anything including melee if I remember right, those QTEs were nuts, ok I remember now.

hm, strange because that costume isn't in the gamecube version.

Might ahve been the PS2 version, I had all the consoles, always do so thats just me forgetting which is which I had RE4 on both. Still have my potato sack hat given out plus flashlight, hmmm and everything else. Gets confusing when people have all the consoles :P

I only played the Wii version to completion (I prefered the point and aim as opposed to the analog sticks) so I can only speak for that particular version, but it did include both the RPD/Pop Diva costume set, as well as the Gangster/Suit of Armor set. It also included the Chicago Typewriter, which is so much fun.

As for knife only, it cannot be done. Knife and handgun maybe, but knife only is impossible.

You can do knife and grenades only to my knowledge. Have you seen how far Leon can throw grenades? You could have a whole mess of grenades for the fight with Salazar. Every other boss and every other enemy can also be reached with said grenades and a knife. The part where Ashley is rotating the two levers and you have to protect her while guys come after both you and her, who's to say it's impossible to beat that part with only knife and grenades?

Interesting, thanks for the info on the suits, I completly forget. Have we gotten any confirmation that the costumes are included in the game or are they going to be sold later as DLC? Sounds like so far there are three costumes total maybe 4 including leons RPD costume?

Naw, they'll be in game. Always have been before in other ports.

Also, Special 1 (RE2 RPD Leon and Popstar Ashley) also gives Ada her Assignment Ada outfit from what the RE Wikia says.

Would be cool if they would split up the outfits in a later patch so you can pick and choose instead. Popstar Ashley and Gangster Leon would fit well lol

I didn't know you could actually ignore the Rocket Launcher (Special) that Ada throws you. Still, I maintain it's not possible to defeat Salazar with only a knife and grenades, so it's not possible to do a knife/nade run. I'll happily change my position if somebody proves me wrong, though.

EDIT: Also OP there isn't any scaffolding during the first El Gigante fight, if that's what you're referring to when you say "big troll guy". It's probably possible to use just a knife and nades on him, but it'd be extremely difficult once you run out of nades because he has so many attacks that'll wreck you up close.

i get the feeling you're trolling. stop with the dumb questions. the store page says this version includes all past content,that must include costumes. why would they even sell em' as dlc? they're old costumes and this game is almost a decade old. again,i get the feeling you're trolling.

Im going to try it with knife again, see how it goes not sure. streaming it too for all those pesky non believers. its fun! I guess there is no "melee" unlockables from what I could find online unless their so secret their unknown. Im going to shoot medallions now.
