Not sure why everyone complains about Ashley. She doesn't bother me at all. I've heard people say she's ugly, annoying, and has bad AI, all 3 of which I disagree with.

Being kidnapped 3 times.
Bad placements in front of your weapon half the time. I killed her so many times opening barrels with knife wile she simply stand there whitout moving.
She can't climb ladders, geez!

I hated her the moment right after i saved her from the cultist in the church, at the first ladder.

Ashley sticks to me like glue and never leaves my side, she has NEVER done anything that made her A.I seem remotley bad, plus she is very pretty....and if I was a girl being chased by crazy medieval europeans that have bug heads i'd think I'd scream for the guy with the gun trying to save me xDD

LOL. loooooong night indeed.
you know how happy i was to leave her behind in rubbish containers? just wish i could leave her there all throughout the game but nope, you must take her.

but she was never in my way when i draw my gun or the knife. she imediately stepped behind leon. so this at least was one good thing about her.

My personal favorite was after beating the game twice and getting the mobster/suit of armor outfit combo, going into Professional mode with Ashley in said armor.

Used her as bait ALL the time.

Honestly, Ashley is fine. Her AI isn't super-smart but when I aim at her she ducks or moves away. Never hit her accidentally at any point that I can remember. It's also great that she gets kidnapped often so we go back to not having an AI to deal with at all for large portions of the game.

Sheva, on the other hand, is just terrible. At least Ashley ducked and moved out of my way. At least Ashley didn't run towards danger stupidly forcing me to call her back like you would a dog. At least Ashley didn't take part of my inventory and manage healing items then not use those items when I need them.

I'll take Ashley any day.
