Is the graphics card requirement wrong?

The store page list a graphics card thats required and better than mine but i dont think an old playstation game is gonna need a graphics card better than one that can play resident evil 6

Capcom is just covering their asses by listing higher than necessary requirements. That way, if you have a problem and you don't meet the inflated requirements, they don't have to help you.

an 8800gts or 4850 would be a turd of a gpu nowadays so how in the heck can you be gaming with something worse. and I think this is basically the 360 version which if you take into account the better console optimizations, an 8800gts/4850 would not end up all that much faster on the pc. plus the console was 30 fps at 720. so if your gpu is much slower then you are many years past due for an upgrade.

Yeah, it has the same system requirements as Resident Evil 6 and Revelations so you shouldn't pay too much attention to them.

i have a radeon 6520 and when i run a test at http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri it shows that its a bad card, I also comparred the two cards somwere else and it said mine was bad. im just mega confused

6520g? yeah that is pretty bad and only about as fast as a 2600xt or 8600gts. I am guessing it should be able to play the game fine on low or maybe medium settings though as those requirements are probably just copied from RE6 as already mentioned.

Remember that we're going to have the option to play this without the HD textures too. I wouldn't go too much on the minimum system requirements.

Dude, they choose the same specs for the revelashuns game, which is a portable game. its the graphix update + low quality port process.

Yeah this is a 9 year old game but remember this game is ported to the MT Framework engine which uses new shading properties and different algorithms that could tax an older video card.

And this game runs at a higher resolution than 640x480 which the 6th gen console ports ran it at. I'd imagine the lowest resolution this could be set at is 800x600.

This isn't the old Playstation game. The graphics are going to be even better than the HD version found on PS3/360.

This, plus that RE6 is heavily optimized and can run VERY well. In fact most Capcom PC games run very well, starting with DMC4. Though I doubt we'll ever get a port that great again, it's good to see that they're starting to put care into the ports.
